A Church Of Prayer

Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

-James 5:13-16

James reminds us with these words the deep importance of prayer. We firmly believe that through Christ we have standing with the Creator, our Father, to talk to Him and share with Him. We do not take this gift lightly because it came at the price of Christ’s life. Therefore, we as a church in Monroe have made it a point to keep prayer as a central focus in all we do. This is not just something we do for ourselves but also for all we meet. We extend this to you as well and invite you to share what is on your heart that needs prayer.
